Santa’s little Elf
I’m not sure how many of you have heard of “Elf on a Shelf,”
but we received our Elf last year from Santa. The kids named him Elfie. What
happens is that every year, usually by the first of December, Santa sends out
his elves to all the little boys and girls houses. Every day the elves watch
the kids and then he / she flies back to the North Pole to report the children’s
behaviors to Santa. This year “Elfie,” brought a girl elf too, for Emma. Emma
decided to name her “Pretty.” This year our elves were kind of trouble makers,
they toilet papered the bathroom, hung off of Christmas lights, wrote on our
mirrors in our bathroom, had movie night with popcorn while we slept, hung out
on our fans, slept in the kids beds, put underwear on the Christmas tree, moved
the stockings, roasted marshmallows, took marshmallow baths in our sinks, and
much more. Owen asked Santa for three
things this year, and one was to keep Elfie. Santa wrote Owen a letter and told
him that he really needed Elfie back at the North Pole to help prepare for
Christmas next year. But to our surprise, on Christmas morning, there was Elfie
and Pretty with a note saying that Santa is letting them stay a little longer!
The kids were so happy to spend Christmas Day with their elves.
