I can’t believe that kindergarten is almost over. It definitely
has been a rollercoaster of a ride! I’m just glad that most of the issues have
not affected the kids. Please pray for us as we decide what to do for school
next year, we are most likely going to home school Owen for 1st grade. We did have
some good times this year in class, take a look for yourself!

Emma started swim lessons
Emma started swim lessons last month and loves it!! She
wants to go everyday! She goes Mondays and Wednesdays from 1:00-1:20, these are
one on one lessons with Tammy, the same lady that Owen learned to swim with.
Emma is a great jumper and has no fear, unless of course we are talking about
the pool vacuum.
Our little garden
The kids and I planted a very little garden. We have one
tomato plant that has about 8 green tomatos on it right now. We have four squash
plants that are just starting to produce, cucumbers that are starting to push
through the soil, pumpkins that are doing the same and about four strawberry plants.
The kids really enjoying going outside to watch the plants grow and to water them.
We have a few other veggies that we are hoping to plant before it’s too late!
Pumpkins! Maybe this year we will get actual pumpkins! |

Emma's 3rd Birthday on Easter
Birthday girl and daddy |
This year Emma shared her birthday on the same day as
Easter! For the last few years we have been camping at Lake Casitas and
attending Sunrise Service for Easter. This year we also were able to celebrate
Emma’s third birthday! She was so excited to go camping for her birthday! She
is so different from her brother and has such an imagination, and fearless personality.
It amazes me the things that she can do now, and boy is she a talker and “all
girl.” This year we had some friend’s camp with us. The weather was perfect and
we had a wonderful relaxing three nights at the lake.

Happy Birthday Owen!!
Wow, we cannot believe that Owen is six years old!! Time
really does fly once you have kids. Owen really is turning into a loving caring
boy and we are so blessed to have him as our child. We took him to Chuck e
Cheese for his birthday. Unfortunately when we got home he had a fever and was
sick for a few days, I think he still had fun. Thank you everyone for the
wonderful gifts and birthday wishes.

Kids Fishing Day
Kids Fishing Day at Lake Casitas
On March 24th, Lake Casitas held its annual “kids
Fishing Day,” this was the first year that we took the kids. What a great day
it was!! Emma won a fishing pole from the Christian Anglers, this was so great
because Tony bought Owen a new fishing pole the day before and Emma was a
little sad that she didn’t get a new one. The Christian Anglers also had free
t-shirts for all the kids (“Hooked on Jesus”) as well as hot dogs and a drink.
They released 2500 trout that day and sectioned off a small area between the
docks. As soon as the kids cast their
line, they caught a fish. The volunteers unhooked, bagged and even cleaned the
fish. After that we took the kids to the other side of the Lake for awhile and
fished some more, a great day!
Not as easy as when all the fish are rtight there. |
She was so happy to win!! |
