We were experiencing with watercolors today and decided to draw different shapes and sizes.   Then we painted the inside of the shapes , here are some pictures to share with  you.

Apple Picking At The Painted Pony Farm In Ojai

On Wednesday we went on a field trip with Noah’s Ark Preschool to The Painted Pony to pick apples. Owen went a few years ago when he went to Noah’s Ark, it s a fun trip that we were looking forward to. The kids were able to pick apples from the trees and then load up the wagon with fallen apples to feed the ponies, pig and goat. We had a great time. We plan to go apple picking for granny smith apples in November. We also are going to make an apple pie with the apples that we picked.

APPLES

The last few weeks we have been talking about APPLES! We did apple tasting, and some apple graphing. We read about how many different types of APPLES there are and all the wonderful yummy desserts and treats can be made out of APPLES. Then I made the kids some carmel APPLES! Next week we are going to make APPLE pie.    

Lake Casitas Play Date

There are a few other families that are homeschooling from King’s Academy. We are hoping to meet up with two – three other families weekly. Last week we meet at Lake Casitas and just let the kids play and ride bikes. It was hot! But the kids had a good time. It was nice for us mommies to talk to another mommy about what works and doesn’t J

Owen has been practicing drawing elephants because he wants me to submit it to one of the magazines that we subscribe to and hopes to get it published. Here are two drawings.
