A Day in Santa Barbara
The Monday of the week of Thanksgiving my mom and I took the
kids to Santa Barbara for the day. Oh, what a busy day it was. We started by
going to the Ty Warner Sea Center on the Pier. The kids were able to touch sea stars, sand
shark and sea slugs. We were able to lower a bucket to the bottom of the ocean,
grab some dirt and bring it back up to see what we found. We saw a Pismo clam
and a sand flea, both we were able to examine under the microscope – very cool.
Next we had lunch at Moby Dickson on the pier, it was ok, wouldn’t recommend
it. Then we caught a ride on the Land Shark, this is a 90 min tour of Santa
Barbara and the second part of it is in the water. Very good tour and would recommend
it especially for visitors. Then we headed over to the Park, I think its
Alameda Park, it has a huge wooden paly structure that the kids love to play
hide and seek at. Next stop was Ice Cream and then last stop was in Carpentaria
where we hiked about a half-mile to a seal sanctuary. It was a great day but I
was exhausted!!!

That looks like a lot of fun. I hiked to the seal sanctuary too, it was awesome. Wow what a great tour. Love to you Manma Net
